Info :: Sardaar Gabbar Singh is an upcoming Telugu action film directed by K. S. Ravindra. Produced by Pawan Kalyan and Sharath Marar jointly under their banners Pawan Kalyan Creative Works and Northstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. in association with Eros International, the film is the sequel of the 2012 Telugu film Gabbar Singh.

Besides penning the film’s story and screenplay, Kalyan plays the protagonist of the film. Kajal Aggarwal plays the female lead and Sharad Kelkarplays the antagonist, marking his Telugu debut. Devi Sri Prasad composed the score and Arthur A. Wilson was its cinematographer. Initially titled Gabbar Singh 2, the film’s production began on 21 February 2014 in Hyderabad with Sampath Nandi directing the film. He was later replaced by Ravindra after which the principal photography began on 29 May 2015 at Malshej Ghat in Maharashtra. Sardaar Gabbar Singh is scheduled for a worldwide release on 8 April 2016 along with a Hindi dubbed version of the same name.

And finally, Vishal has made it big by winning this festival season with his film. The actor has given his best for the film and made it an entertaining film. He worked hard to see this film in the first in the race and the end result is completely satisfactory for him. The performances in the film are so good that everyone will fall for it. The way in which the move was produced using the different strategy has been worked out and the producers are happy with the talk and response for the film.   Kathakali featuring Vishal and Catherine Tresa in the number one spot effortlessly rises above the planned message/story over. Though there are second thoughts by some people on the film, it finally has delivered the best. Though there are much aspects that surprises the audiences, one comes in the second half which actually takes a more drawn out time to enrapture our consideration by neglecting to use the help that the interim point gave to the story which was set in the first half of the film. The film is grand both on technical and creative aspects. Each and every department of the film has worked very hard to make this product appealing and interesting for the audiences. Must watch this festival season.

Vishal with low profile in international market feels this as a major project to save him in overseas and keep his standards set at international film market. If this film succeeds then Vishal promises to do more experimental movies like this and said he would change his routine commercial faction dramas.

Plot ::

Sanju(Sundeep Kishan) is a software engineer who looses his job during the recession time. Left with the responsibility of getting his sister married, Sanju takes a hand loan from a dreaded goon called Vaddi Raja(Bobby Simha).

As times passes by, Sanju fails to repay the loan and this makes Vaddi Raja upset big time. He confronts Sanju and threatens him to pay his money back by the same evening.

This is also the time when Sanju’s love interest Ammu(Anisha Ambrose) leaves her house for good and joins Sanju. Rest of the story is as to how Sanju manages all his problems and comes out from the evil clutches of Vaddi Raja.

The Good ::

The various twists and turns of the film are quite unique. The way every single character is linked to the main plot has been designed well. Once again, Sundeep Kishan does a sincere job. The way he has gone about his role of a frustrated guy showcases his improved acting skills. Sundeep now is at ease in front of the camera and gels supremely well in his role.

Anisha Ambrose looks beautiful but does not have much to do in the film. Comedy wise, Brahmaji once again impresses as Padmavati. The talented actor is now bagging interesting roles and is doing complete justice to them with his hilarious facial expressions and timing.

Bobby Simha makes an impressive debut as the bad guy but his character has not been handled well during the second half. First half of the film is pretty crisp with ample twists and comedy. Posani does his bit during the end and brings in some comedy.

The Bad ::

After a racy first half, the tempo of the film dips slightly as some unwanted scenes and a song featuring Mahat Raghavendra takes centre stage. Too many characters join the fun as the climax is hurried on to us.

Anisha Ambrose has nothing much to do during the second half and the hero’s approach toward her lacks clarity and conviction. The way main villain’s character is ended and too many things happening during the climax makes things a bit bland.

Technical Aspects ::

Sai Karthik is becoming a master at composing background scores. Even for Run, his impressive score elevates the film big time. Dialogues are good and so was the art direction. Production values are top notch and the effective camera work makes the movie look realistic and crisp.

Coming to the director Anil Kanneganti, he has done an ok job with the remake. Though he could not get the essence of the original, he was partially successful in setting it up in Telugu nativity. Had he managed to narrate the second half in a better way, the outcome would have been even better.

Final Thought ::

One of the biggest advantages of Run is the crisp run time. A simple story interlinked with different characters and how they are unraveled during the end is what Run is all about. Barring the non effective narration during the second half and rushed up climax, Run has enough twists and subtle comedy which will make up for a decent watch this week.

Nagarjuna Karthi’s ‘Oopiri’ Nagarjuna-Karthi film is a remake of French comedy the ‘The Intouchables’. However, we hear that this Telugu-Tamil bilingual being directed by Vamsi Paidipally, is an official remake of the film. As Karan Johar acquired the remake rights for Indian languages, maybe this Telugu version makers would have got south remake rights from him. That puts Nagarjuna and others on a happy note as none could now comment that they have acted in a free-make. Meanwhile most parts of this multi-starrer that has milky siren Tamanna in the lead got its shooting wrapped. Tentatively the film got a new title ‘Oopiri’ under consideration. Nag plays the role of paraplegic millionaire who was reduced to a wheel chair post a traumatic car accident. Storyline in Brief

The Oopiri movie is the tale of a Quadriplegic millionaire and it tells the bond which shared by him with his caretaker. The movie stars Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamannah appeared in lead roles.

Music

Gopi Sunder music is really highlighted of the movie and it is getting many good compliments from all kinds of audience. in all situation in the film, the movie has been made by Gopi Sunder wonderfully.

Star Cast Performance

Akkineni Nagarjuna performance is one of the best performances compare to his previous films. Karthi and Tamannah also given their best for this movie up to their mark and all actors showed their good performance.

Plot :: Vikaram Aditya(Nagarjuna) is a paralysed billionaire who needs a care taker to bring spice in his other wise boring life. He interviews a number of candidates before stumbling upon a small time crook Seenu(Karthi) and appoints him as his assistant.

Seenu’s careless attitude and liveliness wins Vikaram’s heart big time and changes his life completely. But life can get pretty tough as it induces problems into Seenu’s life through his personal problems. Rest of the story is as to how both these characters fight their problems and stand for each other in life.

The Good :: Oopiri is definitely a breadth of fresh air amidst the routine and monotonous commercial cinema which Tollywood is used to. Director Vamsi Paidipalli should be lauded for adapting the remake and setting it up brilliantly for Telugu nativity. The emotions, fun, simplicity and larger than life attitude of the characters will win your hearts big time.

What can we say about Nagarjuna. After entertaining the audience as Bangaru Raju, he takes a complete u-turn and wins the heart of the audience completely. One can easily say that except for Nagarjuna, no one in Tollywood could have pulled off this risky role. Nag’s expressions, vulnerability and soberness in his performance will make you teary eyed.

But the scenes stealer of the film is undoubtedly Karthi. He makes a thumping debut and bowls you over as Seenu. Be it his wittiness, the vicious smile and lovable performance, he walks away with the cake. The bromance between Nag and Karthi is also one of the biggest highlights of the film. Vamsi Paidipalli has brought out wonderful chemistry from these actors which is the main stay of the film.

Not even for one second, you feel apologetic about Nag’s character and the way with which the director has showcased this is just wonderful. Tamannah looks gorgeous and her love track with Karthi evokes huge laughs. Jayasudha and Prakash Raj do their jobs well in her supporting roles.

The Bad :: Second half of the film gets slightly dragged a bit. Certain scenes during this Paris episode could have been trimmed down to engage the audience even more. There are certain dull moments during this time as the pace of the film dips a little.

Oopiri is undoubtedly a class act and those who expect something commercial fun from the famous star cast will be disappointed. The front benchers and so called mass audience might find the proceedings a bit slow.

Technical Aspects :: PVP Cinema should be credited for backing such a unique project. Their production values are top class as the film looks rich and colourful. Camera work is awesome as the captivating visuals elevate the mood of the film well. Editing is good but as said earlier, there is a chance to chop off some scenes to make things better. Dialogues, art direction and especially Gopi Sundar’s music and background score are top notch.

Coming to the director Vamsi Paidipalli, he has undoubtedly broken the mould of regular movies in Tollywood and has narrated a different film with ample entertainment. The way he brings out different emotions and executes Nagarjuna and Karthi’s roles is just wonderful. Oopiri is his best film till date and he as a director, has re-invented himself and made a feel good film which will surely go down as a path breaking film in Tollywood.

Final Judgement :: The trailers showcased Oopiri as a celebration of life and indeed, the film as a whole stands up to all its hype and hysteria. Nagarjuna’s life changing performance and Karthi’s liveliness create magic on screen and make things work big time. Though one feels that the film is majorly catered to class audience, it has the capacity to even impress the front benchers because of its universal emotions. Very rarely does one come across such meaningful film in Telugu which binds you with its emotional narration. Finally, if you ignore the slow pace of the film during the second half, Oopiri is one film which stands apart and cannot be missed.
